- Time of the year again for John to head up to Longreach for the annual R.W. Williams Longreach Muster. All the Snowy boys (or R.M. boys) headed off for this wonderful cattle company event. John took Darcy (Jason’s “Man From Snowy River” horse), who is now enjoying retirement (and the odd lead horse job) at C.K. He was all clipped up for his trip and looked a million dollars. The boys had a successful and fun time, looking after mobs of brahman cattle, campdrafting and generally enjoying the company of the cattle people from the Top End.
- Wow, what a great month for us all at C.K. Erin had wins with Sonny and Joe at Sydney Showjumping Club Competition Day, followed by another win with Sonny at the Warmblood Show at SIEC. Bec was 2nd with Leo at the Warmblood Show (wow, he was only doing crossrails not so long ago!) and Rhiannan and Gabby had a great day stepping up to the 1 metre class and enjoying a great round.
- YOUTH TITLES – Camden. Great to have Craig up to stay for a week and it was capped off by a good win in one of the Young Rider Classes on Lilly’s horse Jive. Unfortunate for Craig that he was unable to start Pants as he had a fall in the truck and injured himself. His young horse Lords gained some valuable training miles and jumped a particularly nice round in the final 1 metre class. Congratulations also to Nickaela on Red for winning the Category A class. A great result considering both she and Red have had a long rest.
- STATE TITLES – Gundagai . CHESTY – 5th Place in the Grand Prix class of the State Titles. WOW WOW WOW We are all so excited to see Emma and Chesty have their first start in the “main class” and were over the moon with his great performance. (One of only 3 clean rounds in the first round) He was by far the least experienced horse in the class and Em has brought him through from an unbroken baby. Congratulations Em, great ride, the plan is happening and all the hard work is paying off. To be able to bring a young horse through from the breaking in stage to Grand Prix is a wonderful achievement – we are all so proud of you. Chesty will have a short spell as Emma goes back to Uni this week!!! Erin also had a very successful weekend collecting many bags of feed for her success with her young horses.
- Congratulations to everyone and once again thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with such wonderful people and super horses. You make our job immensely enjoyable.
